Beocord 7000 (Beocord 6500) belt replacement

    Hi there

I need to replace the large belt (flat belt) in a beocord 7000 (according to the information I have been able to find it should be done in the same way as reg. a beocord 6500).

Unfortunatelly I can't figure out how to replace it though - the (Beocord 6500) - servicemanual does not help regarding this).

I have seen in an old thread (4 years old) - that back then Martin Dillen was able to help - but it looks like he's now a former member.

Can somebody else please help me?

    Behs.

No he's not - you'll just need to send him a PM Smile

He can also get you the correct belts and I strongly suggest you get the whole guaranteed correct bunch from him; it'll save you a lot of trouble. It'll be the same amount of work again to replace the next failing belt and they'll all be bad by now.

There are two slightly different mechanisms that were used in 7000s; Martin will help you with that as well.

EDIT: regarding the job itself, 7000 is essentially the same as 6500 but the service manuals aren't too helpful with the process. It's a rather straightforward job, but you will have to think before doing. And don't crack the main circuit board!
