Lifestyle AV is one of the most reliable companies going. There are a number of good resellers and Lifestyle is one of them. I have bought from them and been very happy. The fact that Lee, the owner, also owns this site is a bonus.

Secure payment, great and knowledgeable service and their packaging is second to none.  I'd say more than 100% secure.  You will have no problems.

Great people to deal with and large items get delivered by their own transport in the UK. Very well packed. Delivery man wiling to help with set-up.

Search the forum: many satisfied overseas buyers as well. (just don't mention Søren Mexico's Beoworld draw golf balls)!

Ignore them all - we're rubbish.

As Peter quite rightly said, there are lots of other 'resellers' out there. Some great, some good, some average and some bad. You take your chances, but asking around is certainly a very sensible thing to do.

    ** Edit **

For those who know Matt - they know he's dedicated.

It's almost 11pm and he's actually reading this BeoWorld thread - and just texted me at home to say that Pepso, your email bounced when he tried to send you some shipping costs. Can you provide him with an alternative email address or relax your spam filter a little!

I must give that man a pay rise.  Should it be 5p or 10p a week. Hmmm.. Hmm

No problem. I already saw that you are a secure and good site to buy and forum about Bang&olufsen products but I don't have nothing from you on my spam and my mail is ok I'm always receiving mails. No big deal. We talk tomorrow.

seems like the decision is made. :) still want to chip in: I actually did buy a Beovision 9 from lifestyle, and they were incredibly helpful, fast and reliable. if I could, I would buy another BV9 from them, or another pair of beolab5, or... ;-)

(but be aware that the bv9 is HUGE and a pain to move)

    Hello Jarmin,

Thanks for the information. Yes, the beovision 9 seems heavy. So, are you happy with yours? The sound and image are good?

    Pepso:

    Hello Jarmin,

I bought a BeoVision 9 a year ago to replace my Avant. I was afraid that I would feel I had spend to much money on a TV, that wasn't exactly new, but every time, and I do mean every time, I look at that TV, I smile. I love my BV9 as much as a person can love a material thing. I have never regretted buying it, not once, and every time I see a flat screen or hear people talking about new models, I smile inside and I can't imagine changing my BV9 for anything, not even if Apple makes a TV. In my world, the BV9 is a piece of art. It doesn't need to hang on a wall, it doesn't need a stand or a table to stand on. No, the BV9 holds its own :o)

That being said, it was a pain to get it to the 3rd floor, as it weighs 127kg, and is rather large.

Re: Is lifstyle Av. Secure To buy on line?

ok, my two cents since you asked (sorry for limited english):

designwise, I am absolutely thrilled about my bv9 - always loved the design, always dreamed about owning one.

i have a playstation 3, apple tv and a digital receiver connected to it, and the picture of the bv9 looks great. also, with my beolabs 5 I have a great sound.

the one thing I am unhappy about is the software side, meaning the ease of use (it was a pain putting everything together). with the beo5 remote I was never happy, totally confusing, now i only use the beo4 that came with my beovision 7.

as a matter of fact, I still admire the design of the bv7 more, because the dvd is built right in, you just press a button, and boom... If I had the money, I would have gotten the BV7-55, but look at the price and compare it to recent (well received) LCD's by Samsung...

Now this year there are interesting developments, just look at the 55' OLED that LG presented. And since one has to choose other labels for Bluray and so on (ergo different screen menues and in worst case scenarios more plastic remotes on the table), B&O seems to make less sense in the future (at least to me). Should Apple this year bring something to the market that has a good enough picture quality and some smart ideas about sound like that Bose TV (sorry Bose haters...), I will be very tempted to get another TV....

However, I always wanted to own a nice B&O TV, and I am very, very happy with my BV9 for now.

Re: Is lifstyle Av. Secure To buy on line?

    Hello,

I'm with you, for me a piece of bang&olufsen is a piece of art. I have a beovision 7 32" but I think I need a bigger screen that's why I'm looking for another B&o tv. You said it's not easy to connect everything and easy to use but I think that tv have a great centre to connect everything, beosistem 3. It's not easier to use? I have to connect 4 beolab 3, apple tv, beosound 3000 and a digital receiver.

I also like more the beovision 7 55" but there's not yet used ones to sell. I thought about the beovision 10 46". I don't know. Is your bv9 full hd or 720 p ?

Re: Is lifstyle Av. Secure To buy on line?

I will quote Roger, who was very helpful, when I was looking for a used BV9, and told me about the different models:

    Roger:

You can not go wrong with any of them. The mkI was the only 720p version, but as most stuff transmitted still is 720p or 1080i the need for the later 1080p can be debated. With the mkII came the 1080p panel in June 2007 (type no9720-9730). They both came standard with the HDR-2 and the BeoMedia 1 was an option. In March 2008 came the mkIII (type no 9760-9772) with ACM (automatic colour management). In November 2008 came the current mkIV (type no 9773-9784) with the D10 panel and BeoSystem 3.1.1 and later (August 2009) the type no 9785 -  9796 with the D11 panel.

If 1080p is VERY important to you (there is a difference when used with a 1080p bluray-player, but hardly any for cable/sat tv) I would go for the mkII or a later version.

You should check the milage (hours/days on). The later 1080p panels can suffer from burn-in, something we belived was sorted out years ago, but there is a fix/remedy available in the service menu to cure almost any case.

    Roger

Mine is an MK.III, so it is Full HD, and I have never seen a picture as good as this. I don't remember having any problems with the setup. I only have the Beo4 remote, so I haven't tried with the Beo5.

It has the BS3, which is one of the reasons I choose it instead of the BV10. It also has better sound and it stands on its own, where the BV10 needs a stand. I have an Apple TV2, and a PS3 connected, as well as Masterlink. Sometimes I also connect a Wii or Xbox.

Regarding standalone players, these can be controlled by the PUC.

When I auditioned a BV9 about 4 years ago I found the reflections off of the screen extremely annoying.

Was this corrected on the later generations of the BV9?
