Connecting speakers to a non B&O TV

    Hello

Michael from Bang & Olufsen of Lincoln here.  I know its been asked many times on here but some of the posts are out-dated and various amps have been discontinued.  I have a customer relunctant (for now) to purchase a B&O TV for one of his rooms.  He loves our speakers quite rightly and wants a DSS set-up off his existing Samsung 52" TV.  The order is for a pair of BeoLab 9's at the front, BeoLab 3's at the back and the BeoLab 2.  I have been told by an existing customer that a Yamaha RXV-3067 AMP works very well but seems to be discontinued? I want to create a DSS set-up using the TV as a centre channel with the rest of speakers working as front, rear and sub.  All will of course be sadly connected by line inputs but I'd like to know what experiences you have had and what you would recommend or indeed have at home.

I'd like to provide the best and most reliable solution for my customer.

Any help, advice or recommendations would be appreciated!

    Hi Michael,

This is a very respectable solution. With this you could even tack on a Beo6 for total control...

Anywho... If the customer is starting fresh, why not start with a dedicated pre-amp? I will recommend a Rotel, Integra, and if the budget is big enough, Meridian.

I would detail this further but I am short on time! Maybe after class Laughing

Hi Dimitiris... I like the look of the Onkyo.  One final questions, can I use the TV speaker as a centre channel or does it need a centre channel externally connected to it such as a BeoLab 7.2?

Thanks very much for your advice and suggestion.
