Mixing BL7.1/2 with ALT front speakers?

    Hi guys,

I`m thinking to replace my BV8-40 for a BV7-40 soon.

Because of my furniture, the BL7.4 will not fit, so I`d like to place the BV7-40 together with a BL7-1/2. Frontspeakers are a pair of BL9, rear speakers are BL4000 MKII.

Soundwise, some guys say, do not mix ALT-speakers and non ALT-speakers. Regarding the rear-speakers, I think the BL4000 fit perfect soundwise to the BL9 (listening speaker 4 for audio and speaker 5 for video, if the movie is 5.1).

But I have read, when watchen a movie, the sound is moving from the center speaker to one of the side speakers, if somebody uses eg BL7.1/2/6 (non ALT) and as center and BL3/5/9 (ALT). And this was very irratating.

Does somebody use the combo non ALT center BL7.1/2/6 with ALT front speaker BL3/9/5 and is satisfied?

    Thanks.

    BeoVision 8-40, ATV2, BeoSound 4, Front BeoLab 9, Rear Beolab 4000 MKII, Beo 4

Re: Mixing BL7.1/2 with ALT front speakers?

If you are happy with BeoVision 8-40 as a center speaker you will be superhappy with BeoLab 7-2. It really is a fantastic speaker and it will be a great match to your BeoLab 9's.

Also the sound prosessor in BV7 is superior compared to BV8 so overall it's a great upgrade to sound quality.
