Connecting BS9000 as cd player with BM6500/7000

    Hi

I am considering a BeoMaster 6500/7000 in order to get more available inputs and be able to play my old vinyls. However, I would like to keep using my BeoSound 9000 as the cd player. Obviously I can just hook it up with AUX out on the BS9000 (in option 0) going to the CD in on the BeoMaster, but I would loose the ability to control the CD player with a remote control

So I was wondering if it would be possible to hook into the datalink signal intended for the CD player from the BeoMaster, and feed it to the BS9000 via its MasterLink port? Perhaps simply using a ML converter 1611 in between the CD port on the BeoMaster 7000 and the ML port on the BS9000?

Does anyone have any experience with such setup, or knowledge if it would possibly work. I dont have a BeoMaster to try it out with.

It might work the other way around. BeoSound 9000 can be programmed to Option 4. If you put the BeoMaster 6500/7000 in Option 0 you can get the sources from the BeoMaster on your BeoSound if it is connected by a T1611 converter. I am not sure if all functions work, you might have to try this.

    Thanks

I don't appear to be able to put BS9000 into option 4. Its a MK2 but chip-upgraded to handle N.MUSIC.

Am I doing anything wrong or is this just not possible?
