    Beovision 7-55 3D

What a stunning tv. I saw this at a dealer over the weekend it was on trial or whatever they call it.

3d was amazing. I could also wear the glasses over y glasses

With a smaller screen I admit we were sitting quite close to the screen to get a good effect.

I cannot wait until the 7-40 can process 3d and it will be a new Beamer for me.

Still what an excellent piece of kit

    Congratulations and good luck.

You must have a lot of faith in the B&O brand and/or sufficient cash to potentially make a buying error having never even viewed one!

I have my dealer connections, so I didn't pay full price. It will be worth the chance I'm taking for sure. :-)

I can only agree with Bv7Mk3 based on my experience with a 7-55/Mk1. In regular SD / HD mode, would one even see a difference between Mark 1 and Mark 2 ?

... Probably not as the "first edition" really succeeded.

Hopefully, I won't have to wait any later than September to take delivery of mine. It's going to be a HUGE step up from my old Avant 32"! Smile

    Thank you!

The BV 7-40 3D is not yet mentioned in text and also not shown in specs, but it is already shown in the youtube video and also the downloadable manual of the BV 7 3D includes the 7-55 and the 7-40.

So let´s wait a few days. It will be interesting to see if the BV 7-40 3D has a new panel  (LCD direct type LED backlight like 7-55 3D), anybody knows this yet??

    Regards

    7-40/3D:

New panel and specs - YES,
LCD- direct backlight with local dimming - NO
(as far as I know CCFL backlight remains more or less the same as in recent version)

Will take a little time till 7-40/3D is available ...

I finally received my BeoVision 7-55 MK2 3-D. It's sitting right in my living room. I took delivery last Friday, but couldn't use it over the weekend because I did not yet have my PIN code to activate it. I'll post pictures as soon as I get the cables hidden! Smile

Very interesting thread! Did you check if you have a network connector at the rear of your BV7-55 MK2? I am hoping that this TV will be Beonet compliant...

It is NOT beonet compliant, just for "Blueray Disk Live" like Mk 1. Look at the manual on B&O website.

    Re: Beovision 7-55 3D

Here are some pictures of my new BeoVision 7-55 MK2 3D as I try to configure all of the wiring and connections. I'll be cutting some holes in the wall and floor next week to hide all of the wires and cables. I'll take more pictures when it's all finished. The picture on the TV is great right out of the box!

Notice my old 32" Avant off to the right. It gave me 10 good years of service. Now sold to a lucky new owner on eBay!

Nice! It doesn't look that big at a first glance, but then I compare it with your BL 8000s, and then look at mine 8000s and realise: Damn, she's BIG!

    Re: Beovision 7-55 3D

Yes, it looks like an average sized TV in the photos, but in real-life, it's this huge, black wall monolith in my living room. It actually looks a little smaller when there's an image on the screen because the black just dominates the room when it's turned off.
