Beovision MX6000 - Menu incomplete! (Reset?)

I recently got our old Beovision MX6000 out of the basement and installed it in the bedroom.

I also downloaded the manual from the official B&O products archive and I concluded that my system's menu is incomplete:

The only things showing in the menu are: Program List / Setup  (and when I select 'Setup', it's incomplete as well ... only a few options to configure a Masterlink etc ...)

Is there anyone who knows how to resolve this? In its current state, I can't alter the Program List, I can't add channels, I can't choose my default position (w/ the motorized stand), etc ...

Is there maybe a way to reset the entire device?

    Thanks in advance!

I pretty sure MX6000 was delivered with both the Beo4 and the Beolink 1000 (remote controls), and the software was different...

Sounds to me like you have read the manual for the Beo4 version, and have a Beolink 1000 version... With the Beo4 version you select channels etc. trough menues, while with the Beolink 1000 you use the remote. Try pressing ">>" does it search after TV channels?

Oh, I'm sorry, forgot to mention I have the Beo4 version.

Pressing >> does not search after TV channels ...

I had the same thing a while back!  I never got to the bottom of it as I ended up selling the set, I wonder if you have ended up with my old set??

The description of your scren menu tells it's an early 90's MX 6000.

Using a BeoLink 1000 you start tuning by pressing "GOTO"

using a very old Beo4 you'll find "GOTO" as a "LIST" command and will have to "ADD" it to your "LIST"

using a newer Beo4 you'll find "V.SETUP" as a "LIST" command and will have to "ADD" it to your "LIST"

"LIST" >till > "V.SETUP" then "GO"  = Beo4 Display shows "TUNE"  then "GO" and the sreen menu should
    appear ...

Re: Beovision MX6000 - Menu incomplete! (Reset?)

I just got a 1996 MS 6000.. controlled by BeoLink1000.. everything works fine - program tuning, sound and picture changes storing etc..

PROBLEM is i cannot access MENU by pressing the menu button to the remote.. so i cannot change the sockets and some other features I'm familiar with..

i also have second BeoLink1000 - its also not working with it, so its not the remote..

I found some guys from Denmark have the same problem.. unfortunately i still have no answer from them..

i would be grateful for some solutions..

    thanks

Re: Beovision MX6000 - Menu incomplete! (Reset?)

... there have been 5 different versions of the MS 6000 - the 4 digit "TYPE NUMBER" or the Serial #
    would be helpful ...

This model has only one SCART input which can be accessed via "V.TAPE"
    - therefore no "MENU" is needed/available
    - to access/deactivate S-Video press "SHIFT" + "9"

    PS:

    - for sound adjustments press (repeatedly) "SOUND" , change the parameter(s) and store
the new setting(s) by pressing "STORE" , "STORE"

    - for picture adjustments press (repeatedly) "PICTURE" , ...
