    BeoCom 6000 not powering up

    Hi folks,

So I just picked up a used BeoCom 6000 and I can't get it to work. There is no PSU so I assume it gets it's power from the line - right? Although it did come with a 2 to 1 adaptor - 'Power' and 'Line' on one side, 'App' on the other. All standard phone plugs.

Can anybody offer me any advice?

    Thanks, Jon

    Jon,

The Beocom 6000 uses a 3.6 volt battery located at the bottom half at the back of the phone. Clearly the battery needs to be charged on a charging unit.

The base unit does NOT get its power from the phone line, it needs a mains adapter.

    Regards Keith....

    Thanks Keith,

That is as I expected. Right - time to hunt down a PSU! What do you think the damage will be? ;)

If you were to buy a new power adapter from B&O as a spare, it's going to be around £50
