Hi guys i have a 10year old plus Beo tv/video tv is fine but when i try to play a video i just get a red line all the way acreoss the screen and no picture any ideas

No idea, but you will have much better responses if you post this to the "general" forum rather than to this one which is specific to the Beosound 5.

I have moved it - I guess the model is an Avant - soundlike the VCR has developed a fault - a common problem in the earlier models.
