    Center Channel

    Mates,

    I have a friend who has recently acquired a BS3,BL9s, and BL3s. . .

He did not pick up a center channel and is trying to decide. . .as with most things.. . money has become an object after the above stated acquisitions.

I have been helping him to look for a center speaker but have recommended a set of BL4k (second hand) as a center unit. .

Any thoughts on the BL4k pair versus a 7-4?

I realize the 7-4 would match the ALT from the other speakers. . but, has anyone used this setup(or something similar) that they care to comment about?

I'm curious is the BL4k's can keep up with the ALT speakers. ..

    Thanks

    <MJM

I'm ready for something new that I actually want to buy!

Hi, There has been a similar thread recently about the same topic. I have just been through the same issue myself, I went for a beolab 7-4 only because it was a good price! The 7-4 is a dedicated centre speaker so is perfect for the job, but I reckon that a pair of 4000's would be good also! I think its al about what comes up at the right price at the right time, Cheers Nick

    Re: Center Channel

Having listened to Nicks 7-4 I can say that the sound quality is quite simply stunning.

Would I pay £2,500 for a center spaeker? No.

Would I buy one second hand for a bargain price? Absolutely.

    Cheers

    Nigel
