You have a choice of either active or passive speakers with the BeoSystem 7000.. so take your pick!  Yes - thumbs up

What is your budget is the first question.  Secondly (and just as important), what kind of music do you listen to - and at what volumes?

Once we have that info, the suggestions will come flooding in!

I would get a pair of Pentas. I used a pair with my 7000 system for years and was very happy with them. They go loud, have plenty of bass and match the system. If being critical, they lack a bit of top end fizz and the bass is not as detailed as speakers with a big bass driver. Still have the Pentas though !

    Re: beosystem 7000 and loudspeakers

I would go for a pair of MS150. I am very privaliged to own the actual pair photographed in the link. They were extensively refurbished several years ago and sound sublime. The inbuilt subwoofers really do move a significant amount of air!

The only problem is they're like hen's teeth and will almost certainly need to be refurbed if they haven't been already.

I haven't actually heard a pair of 6000 but I have heard them described as "rubbish" (as main speakers) by someone whose judgement I trust!

    Good luck!

    Cheers

Do you use them with a Beomaster 7000? Can it handle the MS150s? I've had some problem with my bm7000-m150 combo, that's why I'm asking. :-)

I have used them with a 7000 system and MS150s work fine. They are however very big and I don't think even their mother would call them pretty!
