    Beogram RX2/3300

Silly question maybe but I have tried to connect RX2 and 3300 recordplayers on my Beomaster 7000, both on AUX and Phono but no sound at all. Is that because the Beomaster 7000 has no pre-amp?

    Thanks, Leslie

    Beovirus? What's that?

specks say it is but it wont on AUX and perhaps not if you tried with RCA instead of DIN.

I am almost sure that the Beomaster 7000 didn't have a preamp on the phono input. Buy a standard phono RIAA pramplifier and you'll be fine Smile

The 6500 is also without preamp i believe, and the 5500 has it, and it will worke fine with the Beograms who doesn't.

Have you not got a Beocenter you can try it on? Can't think of any without a built in RIAA.

9300, all of the upright Beocenters, and Beocenter 2 Wink

But anyway, both of these record decks need a preamp, simple as that. But even without, you should hear at least something when you crank up the volume high enough.
