Dear all,
I read some threads up and down but still I am not sure what to do. I have much of my music on my iMac (27"; newst version). From this I connect to a Beoport (with BL6000 directly connected) and via Masterlink into my BS3200 and BV8-40 where my BL3 are connected.
Now I want to enhance the sound quality with an external DAC. First question is: Will this happen with a 100-400 Euro DAC? Or is the iMac DAC already good enough for my music (most in 320kbit AAC Files)? I would like to use the optical OUT of the iMac to go into the DAC.
Then I found a quite interesting DAC from pro-ject Audio: http://box-designs.com/main.php?prod=dacboxusb&cat=digital&lang=de. It is a very small device that would fit perfectly on my office table behind the iMac.
The alternative would be the CA DAC Magic or the MF V-DAC which have both good recensions in different magazins...
Please give me some advice how to get more out of my setup.
