    Linkroom help!

    Hi guys,

As I recently tried to make my bedroom, my linkroom, I have come to experience some problems.

    The setup is thusly:

Main room: BV 7-40, BC 2, Beomedia 1, DVD 1 and speakers (BL 6000, BL 4).

Link room: BV 6-26 (i.e. not the Center-version) and BL 4500.

Now. My problem is that I cannot get the BV 6 to acknowledge any of the equipment in the mainroom, i.e. it does not open radio, N.Music et.c.  I have tried to do as the manuals tell me, but no luck. Any hints what I might be doing wrong?

    Hi,

Yes I know. I tried that, but it still won't recognise the sources in the main room.

    Re: Linkroom help!

Did the BV6-26 work as a link TV before? Or have you bought it recently as a second life TV?

What I`m thinking about is, are you sure there is a system module installed? My BV6-22 has a system module installed, but it`s an option. I`m not quite sure about 6-26....

If your BV 6-26 is in V.OPT = 6 and the Masterlink cable is connected it shoud work.

Try do disconnect both TV´s from the mains and then set V.OPT = 6 again. Look in the service menue of BV 6-26 (press 0 0 GO in the connections menue), the option is probably listed there.

Its a second life TV...(but hopefully it will be a TV longer than Second life lasted online...)

Well. According to the manual, it shouldn't be an option but installed. I will try to disconnect them and see if that revives them! Smile

    Re: Linkroom help!

Put the Bvis6 into standby. Then option programme to option6. If the Masterlink module is fitted, the red led should blink to confirm that it has accepted the option programme. No blink = no masterlink module. One blink means your set is correctly programmed and the problem is elsewhere.

It does that - it blinks once.

But that's the thing - everything else works fine to - I was considering there to be a glitch somewhere but then I am guessing other attached machinery should make difficulties as well. Will try to disconnect/reconnect and see if that helps.

Thanks guys - all your help is MUCH appreciated!

    Re: Linkroom help!

... you have put the Link Room to V.OPT 6.

But is your main room equipment in the right option to act as master
    units - e.g. V.OPT 2 and A.OPT 0 if everything is TV operated ?
