Whoop! Finally scratched a 5 year itch and got hold of some Beovox 5000 panels today. Am planning on using them with my recently serviced Beolab/Beomaster 5000 combo, but got them home and hooked up to the Beomaster 8000 and they sound AWESOME! Might have to have a rethink about what gets connected to what...

I would recommend doing a re-cap. My Beovox 3000 panels (of which I like very much!) get audibly better since replacing caps in the cross-over and also the foam gasket between the halves of the speaker (I used thin double-sided tape).
