Is there a PUC for Oppo 83 - Blurayplayer?

    Hi,

I would like to buy a Oppo 83 - bluray player. Is there a PUC-code to this BR-player so I can run this BR-player with my BEO4?

    Regards
    Martin

Re: Is there a PUC for Oppo 83 - Blurayplayer?

I found an "OPPO DV981" player in the list PUC sources of the Beo5 config. tool. Maybe they use the same remote/codes....?

There is a new PUC list: http://forum.beoworld.org/groups/available_3rd_party_products_in_the_puc_library/default.aspx

BTW I have an LG BD 390 Player with USB connection for playing HD movies - MKV....- from disc, USB stick or via network  and YouTube function. The player also decodes HD audio formats, which the BS3/BV7 can`t do. Can be controlled by PUC and distributes digital and analog video and audio simultaneously for link rooms.

    Hope this helps.

    LG BD 390 Player

    sounds impressive

the LG site and even its reviews are useless when it comes to its actual physical connections

how do you wire it to your BV ?

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

That`s right. Just HDMI for digital video and audio. For analog I connected video out and 2channel audio out to a scart adapter.

It`s also connected via ethernet to the airport extreme station, so I can use the YouTube function and play HD movies from an USB disc connected to the airport station. And I have a disc connected to USB connection. BTW it is the fastest starting up HD device I ever saw. It is faster than the electronic curtain on my BV7....

    Hi guys,

LG BD 390 is a fine BD-player. BUT OPPO BDP-83 i an superfine player regarding both picture and sound. Especially DVD-upconversion is one of the best in the market today.

If you "google" Oppo bdp-83 and read all the reviews, you find that all reviews are 5 star of 5!

If Picture Quality is a prime consideration, then the Oppo BDP- 83 is superb.

Bear in mind that it is a Region 1 player.

There is hardware modification that makes it an all regions machine.

Have a look at the CRT Projectors website.

    Henry is extremely helpful.
