Can anyone tell me what I've bought?

I just bought THESE. I don't know why because I don't have any speakers that need them....must stop doing thatBig Smile I guess in the back of my mind I have this vision of setting up a vintage B&O system properly rather than sporadic pieces.

Does anyone know what speakers these are for? Were they for a couple of different types of Beovox's?  Dimensions given are a height of 42cm & a top plate of 28 x 28cm.

I'm sure they'd look great with the proper speakers on top. Funky

I saw these and aren't convinced they are genuine B&O stands as-is. They do look the part though & may have been assembled from some trumpet satnds with a different top plate.

It wouldn't be the first time I've been proved wrong though & may have been produced for, say the Beovox 3702/4702's or similar as these speaker types have square bases.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

I agree, they look exactly like Peters Beovox 3800 stands.  Laughing

Proper top plates or not, looks like it will be dead easy to fabricate a new one if your particular choice of speaker happens to sit annoyingly off centre.

I would've bought them as well Laughing

So there's a chance they are proper B&O trumpet stands?

Don't know if that's a good thing or notLaughing

42cm high does seem an ideal height so yes, I'm sure they could accomodate quite a few types of vintage B&O speakers. I'll get them here first and decide once I've seen them in the flesh.

Yes of course they are on my watch listStick out tongue. I thought trumpet stands would be sort after but they appear to be like buses! My father has some 3800's though so I don't really know what I'm going to do. They'll no doubt sit somewhere doing nothing for ages - I'm terrible for that.

Just great, then I'll be left looking for a pair of suitable speakers for £6! Laughing

I nearly bought them too!  Glad that they ended up with someone on here that knows what to do with them...

No! They ended up with me! Laughing

They have arrived now. Splendid looking things though I still have no idea what to do with them. With these tops on they could be used for a Beocenter/master as a stand if used side-by-side. Yes a little low but would look great IMO. As Mika said they could easily be converted to suit the other Beovox's - I guess the aluminium trumpet parts are generic and the tops are changed to suit.
