BeoSystem 2 with Panasonic non professional panel

    Hi,

i know this has proably been covered many many times before and i have found a bit of info from searching.

But has anyone managed to get a beosystem 2 to work with a non b&o panel e.g a non professional panasonic. i have a TH50PZ70 viera

all my collegues tell me that the bsys2 will NOT switch on with out a rs232 capable panel connected to it.

could i not fool it with a lintronic box....

    Thanks

Try Connecting a RS232 to the BS2 and short out the TX and RX cables, sorry can't remember the Pins.

The BS2 transmits and receives its own turn on signal and stays on !

I am an installer and i probably should know but i didnt really install many bsys2;s that was back when i was stuck in the shop Sleep

I wouldnt believe everything you hear especially re the £500! Hmm

ive give up on the beosystem 2 now anyway. Gunna get a AV amp with pre outs and just control it with my beo5.
