    4500 Beomaster switch repair

The glass on my receiver is loose and comes off.

Question #1: Can the little tube switches be adjusted? I currently only have 2,5,6,7,8,9 for FM selection. The others don't work. They will work through the beolink 1 though. If I press quite hard I can get #1 and #3 to work, but of course that isn't acceptable. Since the glass can be removed, is there a simple adjustment I can make myself? Do they turn for example?

Question #2 I want to reglue the glass on. Would simply rubbing the (cork?) strips with a cotton swab dipped in mineral spirits be enough to reactivate the glue? If not, what glue should I use? A light coat of contact cement?

Maybe information on just how the switches work would be the first place to start.

Being a novice, I'm very thankful to all who reply.

    My sincere thanks
