    Beoport

    Hi There

I am currently running a Beosystem 5500 with Xtra speaker kit in another room. I have a large capacity PC running windows media etc and use the tape input on the Bm5500 to play music in both rooms. The obvious restrictions are that I can only control the volume and source in the other room and not tracks from the pc. Would the Beoport system overcome this ? I have read a bit about this system but do not fully understand what it is capable of. Could anybody help ? or is there another way of remotely controlling media files on the PC.

    Thanks

No, The Beoport can only work as an N.MUSIC server if your AudioMaster is N.MUSIC compatible. That is BS3000, BS9000, BS3200, BS4, BC2, with the right software version.

Be careful as only certain more recent BS3000 are compatible, depending on the software that is installed.

But you can upgrade - so did I - for appr. 100 Euro (chip + labour).
