    Beolab 2000 how-to ?

    Hi there,

It may be a stupid question but I was wondering if a beolab 2000 is compatible with sources other than the ones present on the buttons --i.e.  CD, tape, radio.

Can I call 'A-DTV2' (for AppleTV sound for exemple) or 'VMEM' with the BEO4 ?  I guess the same applies to the BL3500 ?

I am torned between a BL Passive or BL 2000 for my bathroom... just doing my home work :)

If you set your BL2000 to L.OPT 6, you can also access video sources like DTV2 or V.MEM. A-DTV2 will NOT be necessary, because BL2000 is an audio device anyway.

With a remote you can access all sources just like you can with a link eye.

BL 2000 first version has [Tape], newer ones has [TV] instead, otherwise no difference. By the death of analogue TV (DTV in use instead of TV) I have no use for my TV-buttons on my BL2000.

I don't know if it is so, but B&O has replaced [TAPE] on Beo4 with [A.MEM] so I guess if you have a stereo with [A.MEM] you have better use of an old BL 2000.

It's possible to replace the buttons as an upgrade.

Just fixed our bathroom and we (I) choosed BV1 with BL Passive. Excellent speakers, but I miss the buttons from BL 2000. Thinking of wallmounting a Beo4 next to the link eye.

With the Beo4 you can access all sources, just like on the Audio Master. I just set up a BL2000 in my home.

TV, CD and Radio are preset and (unfortunately) cannot be assigned to other sources (I´d prefer N.Music instead of TV...

Same with BL3500, but then you miss the buttons.

I mean of course from version 1 (with TAPE) to version 2 (with TV).
