    Beo5 programming

Hi. I need to program Beo5 as below.

This is from Link1000 and works. (Is my garden light control :-) )

    LINK

    LIGHT

    GOTO

    9

    1

This will activate lamp1 in my garden, but i cant fint "LINK" in the Beo5 programming tools.

    Do someone know how ??

I have uses this command in IR.

    1:000:LIGHT:LIGHT

    1:000:ALL:CIFFER_9

    1:000:ALL:CIFFER_1

And it works great, but i will switch on my Radio in the main room. But if I use Beolink1000 as decribed, all is OK. So i need

to find the "LINK" programming metode.

    Hope for some help.

    Thanks

    PH

    Hi,

If you want to activate lamp 1, the sequence should normally be:

    LIGHT GOTO 1 PLAY

or LIGHT (LIST) LAMP 1 GO with the Beo4.

I do not have the Config program here as I am at work now, but make sure you send the numbers to the LC2 rather than to the hifi/tv.

    To do so send:

    1:000:LIGHT:CIFFER_1     (instead of ALL).

    P.

    Re: Beo5 programming

You have found the LINK mode by selecting "1" in the sequence:

    1:000:LIGHT:LIGHT

    1:000:ALL:CIFFER_9

    1:000:ALL:CIFFER_1

But I can`t believe that this macro works, because there is no LIGHT scene 91 and no LAMP no. 91.....(!?)

And, as Phil said, you have to use LIGHT mode, not "ALL".

    Re: Beo5 programming

Hi all, and thanks for reply.

I have buildt my "OWN" Garden light, therefor I use "9" for light, so I do not conflict to B&O orginal Light system.

Therefore I use this command from Link1000

    LINK

    LIGHT

    GOTO

    9

    1

And it turn ON my Garden light. ( I is 10 years age I buildt it), but again the "LINK" and can't find. I use the first "1" for link, and it works

in all other room that the main room, here it start Radio and garden light with Beo5, but with Link 1000 only Garden ligt starts.

    Thank a lot

    Br

    Re: Beo5 programming

    Try:

    1:000:LIGHT:GOTO

    1:000:LIGHT:CIFFER_9

    1:000:LIGHT:CIFFER_1

Maybe you will need to insert a delay between the single commands.

    @Tillquist:

Yes, it is possible to use LINK LIGHT commands. It works via an MCL system with 2 way devices like BS 7000 and MCL2a....

(and maybe via Masterlink gateway, but who knows....(??)

I have BeoVision 7-40 mk.III and BeoCenter 2 mk.III in the living room and LC2 and then I BeoLab 3500 in the bedroom.

But I can not turn on the light in the living  room when I'm in the bedroom from Beo 5, only with BeoLink 1000

    Re: Beo5 programming

Hi all, and thank for helping. I will try some combinations later. It is not a LC2, but a homemade controller I have buildt many Years ago.

I has been working OK with Beolink 1000 and Beo 4, but I have to use the command. Link Light 9 and then 1 for lamp1 2 for lamp 2 etc.

With Beo4 I use same commands, and it works OK. With Beo5 I have tried severals combinations, but my Radio (Overture 3000) switch on at the same time. fx. if I use LINK LIGHT 9 2, the radio switch on channel 2, or if TV (BV7-40) is ON, it switch to channel 2.

But nevermind. I will go to my office and use my "old" Beomaster 9500, and there use Beo5, it works OK, and so it will be until later.

By the way: Is it possibel to add a Zone in one already working Beo5 ? I have tried, but the zone will not be shown.

Thank and have a nice day.

    Br PH
