    Beolab 4000 - No Sound!

Hello everyone. I took out and connected a pair of 4000s after a couple of years in storage and for some reason one speaker is completely dead. The standby red light is on and when I turn on my 3200 it turns green but no sound. I tried all possible settings and configurations in the rear and still nothing. Once I connect the second speaker to the same cables, it works! Any help is apprecited. Thank you.

If one speaker works on the cable plugged into your 3200 and the other doesn't, you have at least determined that it is definitely in the speaker.  You are on the right track and sorry I can't help you.  I do like to see questions where the problem has been analyzed in a logical manner.  Best of luck.

    Thank you Michael.

Well since I did not get any tips I ended up taking the speaker to an authorized B&O repair shop and turns out that the amp is dead which costs $395 alone (ouch).  Hopefully that is the real problem!

Same thing happened to me, except in my case I dropped it when I was wall mounting it and then blew it out accidentally.  Happily it was under warranty and my B&O repairshop didn't question it.  (happy happy!)
