    Beolab 1 Noise

My Beolab 1 makes a squeaky noise as soon as it receives a signal. Initially, this noise used to go away in a few minutes after system start up, however, now it is permanent. My speakers are connected to a Denon receiver. I tried assigning different output to this speaker, i.e. from R to L, however the noise continues, so I believe this has to do with something between the output of the receiver to the speaker drivers. Have you encountered this before? Thanks for your help in advance.

    Re: Beolab 1 Noise

Sorry if this seems like an ignorant question, but you're not using the power amplifier in the receiver to drive the speakers, right? I ask because of the way you phrased this: "...I believe this has to do with something between the output of the receiver to the speaker drivers." I'm just confused.

Assuming you're correctly using the Denon's pre-amp outs to send signal to the BL1's, it sounds like a Xover or amplifier/power supply type of issue.

I have correctly connected them to pre-amp. I also called B&O tech support, they also think it is an amp problem. Basically, they will change out the entire circuit board.
