    Help needed.

I found this spearker switch on an oline marketplace.

Could anyone explain me how this speaker switch works?

I have searched for a user manual but couldn't find one on Beoworld.

At the back, the switch has connections for: a 12 V DC power adapter, an IR in and OUT ext.

A copy of the user manual would be really welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rudy,

I recently saw one of these make the rounds on US eBay.

It was used to demo multiple speakers from a single source. Plug you source on the left and outputs to various speakers on the right.

If I am not mistaken, speaker selection was controlled via the IR and a (BL1000 and ^) remote using the LIGHT commands. I'll bet a dealer could provide more insight on the control! Not aware of any manuals...

BTW, I passed on the eBay item as I needed the opposite: multiple sources -> single speakers.

    Re: Help needed.

    I have indeed!
It works by the commands "Shift, Phono, and then a number (1 to 16)
The first 8 for one box, and 9 to 16 for a second box.
The EXT OUT socket is for connecting the second box, so both work with one power supply, and one IR eye (Similar to a MCL IR)
Do be careful if not using the original power supply, as the polarity is different than expected. I think the centre is positive.
