Beocord 6000 problems - do the belts need replacing?

    Afternoon all

I've got a Beocord 6000 as part of a recently acquired Beosystem 6000.  It powers up OK and the display is working, but when I try to play, fast forward or rewind it clicks, attempts to engage and then stops.  I'm a complete novice with things like this but understand this could be the belts and that these are reasonably easy to replace???

Can anyone suggest any further diagnostics to try and, if it were the belts that needed replacing, where could I get these from, how much would they be and are there any instructions for simpletons available anywhere???

    Thanks in advance

    I

    Hi,

Yes, it sounds very much like a belt problem.
Belts are available (from me) as a set and I can include mounting
    instructions with photos etc.

You have a PM (check your inbox in the top right corner of this page).
