Beolab 6000 - No sound from Tweeters -

    Hi all,

I just bought from e-bay two Beplab 6000. When I connected them to my audio system I found out that in both of them the Tweeters do not sound at all. The same happens with Power Link and Line connections.

Can someone give an idea what might be wrong before I contact the B&O service?

    Thanks.

Maybe they are blown Laki, I think the BL6000 (older ones) had some issue.

Sounds like the tweeters are blown. Very common fault usually caused by running too loud. Easily tested by your dealer. Tweeters should have a resistance of a few ohms, faulty ones are either open or closed circuit (I have seen both).

Believe it or not, many users don't realise and simply wind the treble up and the bass down!!

Replacement is the only option and should not break the bank. £50 for parts plus labour probably.

    Regards Graham
