    Cabel and plug connection for ir-receiver

    Hello

    I have a ir receiver that I want to use for a MCL / ML, but i have no cable for this.

    On my MCL / ML there is a DIN connector for this, some one who know the plug connection and connection to the receiver.

    Can easily find a diagram of the mini jack plug, but not for DIN.

    B & O is no help, other than I can buy a new cable from them, they would not give me connection diagram.

    Hope you can help me.

    Preben,

    I am sorry to hear that your dealer was not able to help you..

    The standard cable from the IR receiver as shown below uses five (5) of the seven (7) pins

    The wiring is as follows:-

    Pin 1  Yellow   SCL
    Pin 2  Brown    Ground
    Pin 3  Not Used
    Pin 4  Grey      SDA
    Pin 5  Not Used
    Pin 6  White    +5 Volts
    Pin 7  Green    IR Receive

    The diagram shows the connections looking from the pins

    I am pleased it is all working now. It sounds like this answer should be added to the FAQ.

    Regards Keith....

    Re: Cable and plug connection for ir-receiver

    Hi Keith,

    On this topic I have a cheeky question for you;

    I would like to use my active kit as an audio switch to input sound from my B&O system into an audio matrix to integrate with another system.

    The system can output B&O ir codes and if I tape an ir blaster on the ir eye of the active kit everything works great but it looks so amateur.

    So the question is if I take off the ir emitter and disconnect the ir eye, what pins on the ir in to the active kit should I connect the two cables of the ir out from the other system.

    The other system gives me 2 configuration options;

    1. Turn off ir carrier signal

    2.steady state signal at +5v

    thanks in advance
