    Beocenter 1

    Hi All

I've just bought a Beocenter 1 on ebay which I picked up yesterday.

I'm assuming its an early model, as it comes with a Beo 1 remote.

    A couple of queries...

I am missing some menu options, notably "timer" and "beolink" options.  I think it was originally used in a masterlink system so wondered if I needed to put it into Option 2 to get these back?? Any thoughts??

    Second

Can I use the Beo 1 with other TVs, specifically an MX4000?? The remote works fine with the BC1, but doesn't seem to do anything with the MX?

Other than that, a lovely set, fantastic picture quality and my son is a very luck boy to have it in his bedroom!

    Thanks

    Gary

Gary, the quick answer is no. One of the best looking remotes, but useless with anything other than a BC/BV1.

I'm not planning to Masterlink it, but I really would like to use the timer feature. Will have to post the type number tomorrow...

You can use the Beo 1 remote to turn off an MX4000 ;)

    Re: Beocenter 1

    hi,

congratulations on the bc1. it was my first b&o tv and i still love it !

if you don't have the beolink option, then you don't have a masterlink card installed. i believe that the masterlink card also manages time for the bc1, so no timer either...

have fun with this great tv,

    OK

the Type number is 8513, with software 2.8.

It did appear to be part of a masterlink system when I picked it up....
