    Beam me up Scotty?

Just seen an odd interaction between a BV6 and a Beocentre 2500(forerunner to Ouverture)

When you switch the tv on,as the "boot up" image appears, the glass doors of the Beocentre open!!!Wierd or what?

Even odder,is that when you switch the system on via the DVD button, the doors don't open!!

There is no electrical connection between the units,it's almost as though the screen is sending ir in some way?

Anyone else come across this phenomina?I'm intrigued.

I have heard it somewhere else. It was the same with 100Hz CRT televisions. B&O made a modification for that, but I don't know if that will also work for LCD.

I seem to recall a thread a while back about LCD or plasma screens intefering with IR signals to other equipment - not sure this is the case here but worth a search.
