I am the proud owner of a BeoVision Avant (DVD) and a Master control AV 9000. I have now connected them for the very first time with a MasterLink cable, in order to be able to listen CD's, FM and Tape straight form the Avant.

It all seemed straight forward until I tried switching the cd player on and guess what the two can't be linked, or can they?

Does anyone have any knowledge of how to link the two as I really don't want to part with ether of them?

The AV9000 Control panel will only work with the Beovision 9000 for which it was designed I'm afraid. It is based loosely on the Beosound Ouverture and one of our members actually managed to convert one into a working Audio player but it was really just an exercise in proving it could be done. The work was extremely involved and not actually worth the amount of effort.

I might be wrong on this however there is one chance if you short circuit two cables from the masterlink socket of the Master Panel which then is working on test mode.

I'm not sure if you will have a sound on the Avant though.

could be worth the try but only if some specialist does this.
