iRed and irTrans now offering full iPhone/Touch remote

You can now use iRed Touch software, combined with irTrans, to set up full control of your hardware and software playback, incl B&O and non-B&O.

     Manual:

Requires the irTrans modules which will translate wireless commands into IR-code for attached peripherals.

You can create a Beo4 background image, and activate buttons on that image, if you wish. Here's a generic remote image:

Sweet, he has even already a pic of the beo4 in his library. Unfortunately development of iRed2 suffered from iRedTouch, at least according to Mr. Fischer. But he is really a nice guy.

So, for those of us who are having a hard time navigating the ired2 and irTrans websites trying to find products...

What exactly would i need to control both B&O and non B&O products, with a module not connected to my mac, as well as from my iphone and /or beo4?

    -Sal

Love B&O, but no longer addicted.

I take it that the first person to make a Beo4 template will post it somewhere here! Laughing

Agreed, there are many products available, and even I am finding some more products sometimes ;-)

Back to your question: the IRTrans Ethernet device "IRT-LAN-DBHF" transmits all kind of codes, including 455 KHz B&O codes (like all IRTrans modules!), but reception is limited to B&O codes. To recevie and learn codes of non-B&O remotes, you'll simply add an external IR receiver (IRT-RCV).

    See "http://irtrans.de/en/shop/lan.php" for details.

    Cheers,

    Robert

P.S.: I just found out that the optional second receiver for the LAN modules is used instead of the built-in receiver by default. However you may opt for an "independent 2nd receiver". This works for the current hardware. Please see the explanations on the mentioned site. BTW: I am not affiliated with IRTrans GmbH.
