Well off subject but an interesting thought!

    Hi all

Whilst listening to earnest piece on Radio $ earlier in the week some expert(clown imho) referred to pre history now I am don't profess to be clever but was taught in the 50's/60's that history referred to all that had gone before - anyone out there can enlighten me please!

    Salut a la Nth Worcs

I have been taught that the History refers to the period up until now that is documented in books, papers, papyrus etc.

Prehistoric time, is the period before writing was invented.

    Hi:

Yeah prehistory is basicly events that happened before the historic record began. For example we know that the earth was formed somehow (creation/big bang) but nobody was there to document it. Hence, this event happened in prehistory.

World War II happened between 1938/9-1945 this is documented so it is a historic fact.

To be honest I think it is Internet Explorer effect. I don't have half as many problems when using Firefox. However the IT department refuse to use it at work for some reason.
