Beovision 9 arrives in 12 days!!!

    Hello all together!

As you´ve maybe read in my posting in the german forum i´ve sold my BV 7-40 MK II. The Beovison 9 i orderd will arrive in 12 days.

Normaly the Beovision 9 should arrive when we are ready with our house beacuse we get a quite huge living room (45 squaremeter) the 9 will be very good in matters of size (the 7 would have been to small) The new living room will be in the ground floor

As the recnstruction of our house will last longer than expectetd (till November) and at the moment we only have the bc 6-23 our dealer suggested to install the beovision 9 within this months. I accepeted but the dealer will have to carry the 123 kg thing to our living room in the second floor throug a small stairway. then, in november he will put it in the new living room

    i´m very excited!

    I want a BV 10

You should certainly be excited, but I would not be so excited about lifting 123kg up and down stairs !!

    Regards Keith....

    Hello Beoben,

For delivery of my BV9, the dealer took a moving-company to bring  the TV in Lorient (the packing is very large and not adapted to vans), then to take it upstairs (I'm on the first floor and the stairway is narrow).

Two guys took the TV, which flied to my living room as in a dream.

It's unbelievabale how things look easy when done by specialists. I remember when my dealer's tech and I had to take my BV5 upstairs.... real nightmare but we succeeded at the end.

Be happy with your new TV, I'm really satisfied with mine.

    Keith,

I've heared of problems with the 4.24 software. Do you have any advice, as I'm using a HDMI connected PS3 as blu-ray drive. My stb is scart-connected, and I have no problem with the 4.17 version, but the 24 fps support is important for me.

    Have a nice sunday,

     Yann.

The 24fps support is a bit of a kludge. It's not full support. Panning on Blu-rays is still a little jerky, although it's smoother than before. Watch the same movie/sequence on Sky HD though and it's not jerky at all! Smooth panning.

I'm not sure if I'd upgrade to sw 4.24 yet, simply to get slightly improved Blu-ray camera panning. If you wanted much improved panning, watch the same movie as a download or other source.

    Yann,

Apparently there is problems with the 4.24a software and I understand that a corrected version of the 4.24a has been supplied to some dealers.

Keith, didn't Roger conclude that the 'corrected' version does not contain a fix or an update? ie. it certainly doesn't fix the switching off issues.

Roger did indeed conclude that the "corrected" version does not contain a fix, but I did not read his posting until after I had post my response (Used the e-mail link created by your posting)

    Regards Keith....
