Not to babble on about how great Beolab 4s are as computer speakers, but I am just simply impressed by it's perfect balance of functionality, performance and aesthetic of Beolab 4 for computer use. In fact, I think it was designed designed for this purpose only.
Just take a look at how the tweeter is angled upwards like how a computer speaker should be and how well it performs at low volumes and the soundstage it throws right in front of you as nearfield speakers and, the way it picks up the most minute details. It is quite shocking. I bought Beolab 4s unheard because it seems to be the most practical quality computer speakers out there, first you can minus those subwoofers than usually comes with high end computer speakers whilst still occupying little desktop space.
I had very low expectations for these at first as most of you in the forum had come to a conclusion that they are bad loudspeakers. But having to be praised to have golden ears with a group of audiophiles recently by being able to distinguish the modified versions of amplifiers versus unmodified versions in a listening session. I must urge you guys not to cast these little gems as scrap metals.
BTW didn't someone in this forum say that there's gonna be a review on these loudspeakers in Hifi News or something? I am curious, what did it say?
haha paragraphed.
