    MX4000 Speaker pairings

    Hi all,

would love to know what second hand speakers would go well with a black MX4000 Mk2 - I would be looking to spend circa £40 second hand

    thanks

    Hi Faz,

how about a pair of black CX50 speakers? - small but powerful.  I've got some connected to my MX3500 on the floor and they are great.  They come up on eBay frequently and don't seem as popular or expensive as CX100's.  Search through the products section to read about them.

also in response to your other thread - the Beolink 1000 is much better than the Beo4 and all of the manuals/guides can be downloaded from this site if you are a silver/gold member.

Enjoy your TV and welcome to Beoworld.

    Dave.

    Hi again Faz,

if it's this pair on eBay: 230265489601 then you can see the foam surround is starting to rot.  This is a relatively easy fix if your handy by buying raplacements from e.g.: 270216671921 this listing, who can supply surrounds, glue, instructions etc. or: 120204179030 this listing, depending on where you are or how many you want to buy.  Many people have described refoaming speakers on the Beoworld website if you search for it you'll find it.  Alternatively, you can ask if anyone here on Beoworld has any they'd like to sell as you are likely to get better speakers then?

    Good luck.

    Dave.

If you are happy to move back a generation the P45 or P50 are a good wall mounted speaker with better bass than the CX50s (larger volume and larger bass driver, plus a midrange unti as well as a tweeter)
