    Need to update your logo Templates to work with Version 1.30

    If you have been using the Beo5 Configuration Tool prior to the latest release of 1.30 you may have produced many different "Logo Templates" for various typical configurations, but now you have installed version 1.30 you have notice a couple of issues:-

    1. The installation programme de-installs your old version and installs the new version in a different location unless you change it during the installation process. The new default location is C:\Bang & Olufsen\Beo5 Configuration Tool The previous versions were located in C:\Program Files\Bang & Olufsen\Beo5 Configuration Tool
    2. The logo templates you previously produced will not work with version 1.30

    The templates on the "Beo5 Information & Resource" web pages HERE have been updated for version 1.30

    However the following proceedure can be used to quickly update the Logo templates you may have produced. The following variables were changed in 1.30 which cause the old templates to hang if used with the tool.

    The following variables have been changed

    • nPreferedRow= is now nRowFinal=
    • nPreferedColumn= is now nColumnFinal=
    • nPriority= is now nPage=
    • <root stVersion="1.0"> is now <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
      <root stVersion="1.0">
        <resource stName="resource">
         <image stName="logo" stFile="images\Beoworld.jpg" />
    • <channel stName="TV Channels" stProductType="TVChannel" > is now <channel stName="TV Channels" stProductType="TVChannel" stImage="logo" nTemplate="1">
    • nColumnFinal= did accept values 1,2 3 but now only takes 0,1 & 2

    So, the fastest way to update these logo XML files is to open them with "Windows Notepad" and use the "Find and "Replace" function for the first three items. For the next two items I suggest just a "Copy-N-Paste" from the above text.

    To change the final item in the list above use the "Find and "Replace" function to find nColumnFinal="3" and replace with nColumnFinal="0" There will be one replace for each logo in the file, so use the "Replace All" function.

    Regards Keith....
