    Apple TV and Beovision MX7000?

Is anyone using an Apple TV with a Beovision MX7000? The TV isn't widescreen but I understand that the ATV can cope with this. The technical challenge is the translation from component video in the ATV to an RGB signal on the MX7000. I'm thinking that this device will be needed.

I'll be connecting the ATV to an AV2 Expander (component ports used for a camcorder) because the TV's SCART ports are already used for a DVD1 and V8000. Does anyone have first hand experience with an MX7000 and Apple TV?

    Thanks.

Don't have any experience with MX7000 and Apple TV specifically, but it should work with everything you've specified. As you say, the MX7000 has no component connections, but that converter should do the job.

    Hi Marcus,

having posted the same question regarding an ATV-Avant a few days ago, I will just do a further comment.

In my opinion, the converter you are looking converts only Component-to-RGB. Make sure that the AV2 Expander port of your MX7000 can manage RGB signal (opposed to composite only). In this case, you would need another type of converter (see my post).

    Cheers. P.

Thanks for your reply. You make an excellent point ... will the AV2 Expander manage an RGB signal?

I will investigate with my dealer before purchasing the converter. I'll post the response here.
