    Beocenter 2300

Hi everyone, I had just bought a beocenter 2300 from ebay few weeks ago. Looking through the whole manual, I cant find anything related on how to switch on the timer function. Allow me to ask a silly question, does beocenter 2300 got any timer function at all, if yes, how can I switch it on??

Thanks for helping me out if possible........

    Re: Beocenter 2300

    Hi Justin

According to my manual, BC2300 only has a stop timer.  Press STOP a few times to select the remaining time that you want the unit to play before switching off.  Never used it myself.  Can't seem to find anything in the way of timers to switch the unit on.

    Have fun

    Re: Beocenter 2300

First of all, good luck on Your new system :)

I think, You've purchased a two way BS2300, because if I know well, the one way BS2300 already has a timer option button.

The Beocenter 2300 two way IMHO is a really better and wonderful timer system, with several timer modes, just like daily setup, single time, and a calendar. The only problem is, that You can access to the timer function only via a Beolink 5000, or a Beolink 7000, because the system by itself does not give You any possibility to set the timer functions. (The only exception is to mute/unmute the speakers during the timer functions)

As far as I know, there were rumours about a sleep timer function, but I've never seen anybody who was able to set it up :)

So, You need to purchase or ask for an advanced two way remote controller to use these features... but it worth every single penny to see this kind of a communication between the remote and the system :)

Thanks a lot!!!! This is really a very helpful piece of information. At first I still worried it dont got any timer function, as I usually use my beocenter 9000 as my alarm with lovely music on each morning....Big Smile

But the thing is, it is so hard now to find a beolink 5000 or 7000 selling. They are both very rare....Unsure  I try to find them for ages......

    Your Welcome :)

Yes, You are correct, they are expensive, but they are timeless pieces, mostly the BL7000 IMHO...:)
