Can anyone tell me how to connect my laptop to my BeoMedia, PLEASE !

I recently upgraded my laptop from XP to Vista (OK, so I'm a fool) and since then I am unable to connect to my Beomedia box. I have tried mapping a drive to the default share on the Meomedia using the default user ID and password ( as well as trying the user ID and password that was created for me when beomedia was first installed). Nothing works !

I can see the Beomedia box appearing as a computer on my network but I cannot ping it.

I don't want to hear about any B&O plans to issue a software fix as I have plans to retire in 2012 and move abroad and I would like to listen to my music before then.

 Any ideas greatly appreciated.
