Be careful not to be overtaken, B&O!

    Latest B&W news

Are they copying B&O? All i know is that it appears that B&W is catching up and introducing wireless active speakers based on the XT and PV1 series that may actually be better. B&O is already challenged by the PV1, so this is interesting.

Love that new jag by the way.

Love the Zeppelin - what a brilliant idea! Yes - thumbs up

I've a lot of respect for B&W, they make some lovely products - but looking at some i just think that B&O still have the edge on design at the moment.  I truly love Bang & Olufsen design, but if other companies have the quality of sound and sensible prices - design may end up taking a back seat as long as it's adequate.. and B&W is that and sometimes more.

Played with the Zeppelin the other day - Too much thick bass the way it was set up. I didn't play with the the settings so it could have been subject to young salesman syndrome!

I'd say probably not. That type of product is aimed at a younger (ish) market, and all they care about is bass. (of course i'm talking about a broad generalisation but they are going to try and make the product appeal to the most likely customer)

I don't like the design of this product at all. Give me beosound 1 with a little ipod dock sitting next to it anyday.

Yes true, i would choose BS1 over zepplin on aesthetics, but lets see how it actually sounds when setup just right. I just wish the Beosound 1's bass could be turned down.

I love the XT series speakers, and i think B&W are pretty good with aesthetic, then there is the price of B&W, it's realistic in comparison.

Re: Be careful not to be overtaken, B&O!

B&O makes profit when B&W sells Liberty speakers as the amplifiers inside them are actually ICEPower!!! I also think that the two brands are not targeting the same market segment, but not sure about that.

Concerning the Zeppelin : I think it's great designwise, but I never had the opportunity to listen to itSad

And for those who want to add a little iPod dock in front of their Beosound1 : don't you think that you get something interrestingly close to a Bose SoundDock??Big Smile
