Beovision LX2800 no longer responding to remote

I have a Beovision LX2800 that I bought on Ebay a few months ago. Until the beginning of this week it was working perfectly.

For the last couple of days it has not been responding to the remote. It starts and works OK y when I press the button next to the power switch but I can't control anything.

I have replaced the batteries on the Beolink 1000 and also tried  the Beolink 1000 from the LX2502 upstairs. Both remotes work perfectly with the LX2502.

I am at a loss as to where to start troubleshooting. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the same problem with my LX 2802, it does not respond to the remote anymore. It works fine with a different Beolink 1000, though.

I have tried to replace batteries. Any ideas?

My LX2800 didn't respond to either of my Beolink 1000's

My complex technical solution was to prise off the cover where the IR receiver is (it's where the red lights are) and wiggle what was underneath with my finger. It's been working fine ever since!

Thanks, I will try that! Just before going to bed yesterday, I managed to get it to work occationally again, so at least it is working to some point, but there must be something loose or in bad contact.

    Hi,

This is not uncommon, and is often attributed to the filter in the receiver going out of specification ... a simple solution is to swap out the whole board with one from an otherwise broken set.
