    Beosound 3000 problem

My standalone 3000 has suddenly become unresponsive to the Beo 4 and also only works manually on the functions (cd, radio, load etc.) Cannot change volume and the sound button shows "Use TV". Thought that somehow the options might have changed but as it does not respond to the Beo 4 am not sure what to try next. The Beo 4 is working fine with everything else. Any ideas or is it service time?

Did it work? No idea why it should suddenly start ignoring things if you hadn't optioned it yourself!?

    Re: Beosound 3000 problem

Am away at moment but will try when I get back. Not sure why it has suddenly stopped responding to the remote - and particularly why I cannot use the buttons - but I do have a Beo5 that seems to send random ir's around the house so not sure if that has something to do with  it.

Will let you know when I have tried.

Back at home. 3000 still not responding to remote even after taking advice above. Remote works fine with everything else. Buttons now working but I do not know why!! Happened after I reset the date.

Any more bright ideas out there?

    Re: Beosound 3000 problem

Problem seems to be catching!! I "solved" the problem but do not really understand how - did it under the influence of red wine.

As I recall there seem to be two phases. Firstly I pressed "sound" "0" "store" (I think) on the 3000. This brought all the buttons back into use but did not help with the remote. I then used the "option " advice suggested in this thread to get the remote working..

I am sure Peter or one of the more techy guys can give you chapter and verse.
