My Ouverture is about 10 years old now and still one of my favourite B&O systems. However, for the first time so far my Ouverture has begun to develop a bit of a problem.

If I play a CD, the left speaker will occasionally not play. The odd thing is this does not always happen, and might be coincidence but I tested the radio to see if it happened there too, but it was fine.

Does anyone know whether this is a serious issue? And the whereabouts of the problem?

If the problem does not exist with radio ... that rules out anything on the output side of the audio switching ... the basic CD mechanism reads as a bit stream, so its not a reading issue ... my guess is something on the stereo decoding/input to the multiplex.  Sounds obvious really.  Give me a shout if you need a fix.
