Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
Hello! I have this combination with the Beovision 7000 and the Beolink 5000, and when i connect the 4 pin plug from the motorised stand to the Beovision 7000, then it not works. Manual says, i must press the picture key at once, then it must work with the < and >. But it doesn't.:( Immediatelly after pressing the picture key, the "brilliance" is in the corner. This word should be there only if i press the picture key twice! Is there something what i must set in the Beovision, before connect such a device? Many thanks in advance for any help! Charles

You need to connect the stand to the TV before you connect the TV to the mains power supply & power up or the stand won't be recognised. Unplug everything & start again plugging the stand cable into the TV first. Chris.
The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

Thank you Chris! I have try it, but no success.:( After i unplug everything, i have wait about 30 seconds to ensure, that all the capacitors in the circuits are empty. Maybe i give a try to wait more after disconnect from the main supply. Thanks: Charles

I believe the picture + </> only works for the older versions of these sets that have software for use with Beolink 1000. I know my MX6000+stand (Beo 4 version) won't react at all to those buttons on Beolink 1000. I need to dig up the "stand" command from Beo 4 to be able to control the stand. Unfortunately I don't know the Beolink 5000 at all, so I'm not able to suggest what you might try with that

Beovision MX7000! Sorry, i wasn't perfect by the beginning! I try out with longer power off period (totally disconnected from main supply), but still no function. I don't have here the Beolink 1000. Only Beolink 5000 and Beolink 7000 is at home, but I will charge now the 7000, maybe that works! Thanks for the help!!! Charles

It appears the problem is with the stand or the TV, not with the remote, unfortunately.

Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
Oh Dear... Can someone help me out with the 4 pin plug connection diagram? I have a multimeter here, can measure the voltage what is coming out from the TV. Maybe i can put a separate power supply to let work alone the stand too... The only problem what i see now is, that (when i believe the remote control manual) when i press only once the picture key, then i shouldn't see the "brilliance" word on the screen. This must be happen only, if the picture button is pressed twice! Or i misunderstand something? Thanks:Charles

Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
I still stand (pardon the pun...) with my original idea that your set has the later version software just like my MX6000 does, and the stand simply cannot be operated using the "picture" key. In that case, the remote command "picture" is simply for adjusting the picture, and that's why it goes to brilliance at once. You have to go through the setup menu ("stand" is there, is it?) or use a remote with the "stand" command.

Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
Beolink 5000 or 7000 remote are not able to send a STAND command. You need a Beo4 for that. My recent Beovision 7 can perfectly turn the stand using the picture key from my Beolink 5000, 7000 or 1000. But it is worth borrowing a Beo4 to test before looking at the stand itself.

Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
Thanks for the help at first! (This is a excellent forum, btw.:)) I checked out my MX7000: Type 33/86, SW 1.6 (I'm not sure in the "6" in the software version, the sticker is not the best in that point... Manufacturing year should be 1994) For controll, i have two possibility: Beolink 5000 (Type 1620, don't see any software versions there...) Beolink 7000 (Type 1540, S/W1.3) Is there something what i must check on the motorised stand? Has the stand something inside besides the motor? Is there also different versions? Thanks in adv.!!! Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
Thanks Phil! Me was told, the BL7000 can send a "Stand" command. The BL5000 is just mentioned in the manual from the Television (MX7000), that both remote controlls are able to controll the full functions on this television, so the BL1000 and the BL5000 too. I don't wish to give up, it must work!:) Thanks! Charles

Try and borrow a Beo4 that can send the Stand command. Test it on your TV. if the TV turns, then it you can try and see on the remote side. If the TV doesn't then look on the stand side. p.

Thanks Phil! So you mean, that the problem can't be with the television itself, not with the SW version, etc.? Ok., i will try it, and let you know about the progress! Thanks! Charles

Re: Beolink5000 - Beovision7000 - motorised stand= not working together...
Edit: sorry, I didn't notice that you already posted the software version, and that should be OK - I'll leave the next paragraph here for reference to other readers, though... Please, skip to the next point
AFAIK it depends on the software version of the television. You can check it with menu-0-0-go if you have a Beo 4 (dunno how to do that with other remotes) or simply take a look at the type sticker in the rear. If it says "SW 3.1", the picture command will not operate the stand, not with any remote. If it's 1.something, it should work. There are two different manuals for the MX6000/7000 - the first one talks about Beolink 1000 and the later one about Beo 4. Furthermore, go to the setup menu of your tv. Do you see "stand" as the last selection down under "sockets"? If not, the TV and the stand are not communicating.
I have a MX6000 sw 3.1, a Beolink 1000, a BL7000 and a Beo 4, and the only one of those that is able to rotate the stand is the Beo 4... Regarding the stands - if you can plug it in, it should work. MX8000 (and MX4002, I think) had a different stand, but the plug is also different.

Could be the TV as well unfortunately. But do not panic yet!

Thanks! I check the setup from the TV, but there is nothing about the stand. I see exactly this: Setup TV ------------------------ Timer sound: off Power link:off AV1: V.Tape-1 AV2: V.Aux S-VHS: Off ----------------------- Accept: press play Should i try to refresh the software of my MX7000? If yes, how should i do that? Anyone before says, that the BL7000 has also a kind of "Stand" command. I don't wish to buy a Beo4. The BL7000 should do everything, that's my love!:) And yes, the plug from the stand was fully compatible with the television. AFAIK it was connected before with the MX6000. Thanks! Charles

Oh, the menu must be different in the 1.x software then. I looked through a number of MX/LX user manuals, but unfortunately none of the Beolink 1000 versions said a word about programming the stand. So, I don't really know if you should see it there or not... But I can think of one more test - while the TV is on, rotate it to one side by hand (slowly...). Then turn the TV off. If the stand (and stand interface) are working, it should return to the center position.
