Help: How to connect Beocenter 9500 to Beocenter 6?

    Hi everyone,

I have an opportunity to buy a Beocenter 9500 and would like to connect it to my Beocenter 6-26 as a temporary solution until I get the dedicated speakers. How can I connect the BC 9500 so that I can hear the CD/tape output from BC 9500 through the speakers of BC 6-26? Looking at the connections scheme in the BC 9500 manual I can't really see any audio output socket.

    Thanks in advance for advice!

I suggest that you need a Beolink converter. You can then use this to connect the Masterlink socket on the Beocenter 6 with the AUX socket on the 9500.

You will need a Beolink converter, to go between the two. Had the same setup with my old Beocenter 9000 connected to my BV3-32. You connect a Datalink cable from the Aux of the 9500 to the converter and a Masterlink cable from the converter to the Beocenter 6.

Many thanks for the quick feedback! So, does the AUX socket of BC 9500 work both as input and output (I thought it was the sound input only)?

The AUX is input and output.

This is a pretty standard config. The same connection system works with, say, the AUX on a BC2300 and Masterlink socket on the Avant. Works fine if you can't afford dedicated active speakers.
