Upgrading, Annoying B&O furniture (BV 5 two drawer cabinet)

    Dear Chaps

I have decided to upgrade my DVD1 to DVD2 - easy enough decision I thought - but as I have a BV5 with the two drawer cabinet underneath (housing DVD1 & V8000) - I thought it would be a simple job.  However the dimensions of the new DVD2 are 47cm wide and to my horror the cabinet is not wide enough by about 4mm.  When you open the aluminium flap the hinges on each side reduce the width to allow the DVD2 to fit in the same space  No - thumbs down

Has anyone else discovered this? My only thoughts so far are to partially dismantle the two drawer cabinet and take the doors off - but this kind of defeats the object of having them.

Any thoughts/solutions welcome.  I've just spent the last three months decorating the room and it is all finnished, I don't really have the space to place DVD2 elsewhere especially when there is supposed to be an ideal space for it in the BV5 cabinet.

    it sucks a little.

The size of the HDR2 has made me buy the HDR1.

The DVD2 has the same size as the HDR2.

Yes I was aware that the HDR2/DVD2 video boxes didn't fit old B&O cabinets.

As this was a big issue for me... our three door cabinet (BV3) is located next to the TV.

Loaded with Mac Mini, Beoport, Samsung decoder and the HDR1.

There was one escape. If my wife would consider to accept the HDR2 under the couch.

    But she doesn't...
