    Replacement drivers for CX100

I am looking to replace my drivers in one pair of CX100's, I do not want to refoam them. If I buy them from B&O will they now be Butyl? Roughly how much are the replacements from B&O? My other alternative is Recone Labs which I used for my RL140's. I cant justify the cost for CX100's although Recone did a fantastic job.

    Kind regards

    Dave

Replacements are about £30 each from B&O if I remember correctly. Its well worth it though as you then have a pair of speakers that will last you years.

Are they Butyl or still foam surrounds? Thanks for the speedy reply!

Hi Chris, I bought some CX50's off you a while back which you had refoamed, what do you think to the kits, is it reasonably straight forward?

    Kind regards

    Hi Dave,

the kits I have used are fine. It isn't perfectly straightforward as the centering is critical otherwise the coils will rub and sound horrible and eventually wear out. If you decide to go down the refoaming route then drop me a PM and I'll advise you if needs be.

Jandyt did an excellent step by step thread in the workbench section here on refoaming some S120's.
