Re: My Current set up, pictures
Nice setup! Congratulations. The choice of colors was very nice. Are there not any problems with reflections of the sound? The room seems to have a lot of hard surfaces.

1. Very nice setup. The BL9 in red are so cool, and they look very good next to the red BV7. 2. You can "upload" pictures on the Beoworld gallery by mailing them to Ed.

I am not sure about sound reflection problem, I probably won't be able to tell . but what do you mean by a lot of hard surfaces though?

Nice combination of products, it will look even better when all the wires and plugs are concealed Out of curiousity, why didn't you opt for the Beolab 7.4 to go with your BL9's instead if the non alt 7-2?

Re: My Current set up, pictures
The reasons are mainly because I like the look of 7-2 over 7-4 and with 7.4 the BV7 will have to be free standing on the floor with wires/cables everywhere. I can hide those wires underneath the TV stand I have there now. Also, from the discussion on this forum, I get the idea that the quality of sound produced by 7-2 and 7-4 are not all that different to us mere mortals, only the most trained ears can tell them apart.

Very nice set up. I passed on the BL 9 in red because I thought they looked too 'orangy.' Very nice. How are you controlling the volume of the speakers? Some have written that with just the computer controls they can still be too loud. Dario

I just use the computer controls, I do agree that even at the lowest volume setting it is still "loud" but it doesn't really bother me that much.

Well, as in this picture http://web.mac.com/aweicc/Site/Photos.html#0 I did see any e.g curtains, carpets or other textiles, that can be used to stop the sound from "bouncing around". Never the less, it is a very nice setup! Cheers, Claes

Re: My Current set up, pictures
Actually on the left hand side of the room are roller blinds not wall, its just the same color as the wall, but on the right hand side, I have 4 panels of sliding doors, all glass, I guess that would be bad in terms of sound reflection. Thanks :) I like the set up a lot and it definitely draws ohs and ahs from visiting friends ~

Re: My Current set up, pictures
Bravo on two counts! First, the color choice is brilliant! B&O build AV like super-cars and it's totally appropriate to go for a color! Secondly, the TV height is exactly what I've done. People who put these things over fireplaces are utterly foolish. Once you've had a television hunkered down, you'll never want it any other way. Keep up the good work!

Re: My Current set up, pictures
Dear Sir: Ask your dealer about the BL 8000 wall brackets. My dealer informed me of them when I bought the speakers. I was contemplating such a set up. You may also want to drop a line to Lifestyle and the bracket company that advertises here. Enjoy, Dario

Re: My Current set up, pictures
You may not be able to hear reflections in the room, but if there weren't any, you definitely would hear the difference! A £500 sound system in a room with good acoustics, and little reflections will sound better than a £5000 system in a room with poor acoustics and lots of reflections...
