    Resetting Beocom 6000 Base?

    Hi:

I picked up a Beocom 6000 Phone. It is used and has a number of phone numbers stored in the base.

How can I clear the base to restore factory settings?

I already checked old posts but only found instructions for resetting the handset.

    Thanks,

    Derek

    Derek,

To reset the Phonebook, Caller ID, Redial List and all registered handsets on a Mark I Beocom 6000 (I am assuming that is what you have, in other words you have a DOT button at the 9 o'clock position of the dial)

Press the DOT placed followed by 70008 and then OK (in the middle of the wheel) to reset the base.
Press the DOT followed by 70009 and OK to reset each single handset.

    Regards Keith....

    Keith:

Thanks so much for your prompt reply. This is what I was looking for!

I'd like to add from my experience here (for those who may come across this thread in search of the same) that to completely restore everything to default you need to first reset the base, then reset the handset.

If you rest the handset first, then you will need to re-register the handset to reset the base. At this point the phonebook will synch and reload the directory from the base back to the handset. Clear the base first and then clear the handset.

    Best,

    Derek

    Derek,

True, also, if you change your handset from personal phonebook to common, your personal phonebook will be deleted along with the name of the handset.

Is it possible to reset a base station and then add a handset with a filled phonebook and the reload this filled phonebook to the base?

Is this possible or will the filled phonebook in the handset be reloaded with the empty phonebook from the base?

    Best Regards

    Ola
